Dear Mama and Da Sun's Height
I would like to introduce the truly depressing Hold of Falkreath. Where the sun seems to fade during the suns highest peak and the seasons seem doesn’t seem to effect the area. Even the air is foggy during the daytime. At least Falkreath is a peaceful Hold… peaceful like a tomb. As a running joke, the shops and the Inn are all named related to death. According to the Falkreath history, this hold is known for its many battles and the number of dead from those battles. Ive never seen such a large cemetery before but with the history within these walls of the Hold and the area surrounding it, it makes sense. Don’t worry, Da, I’ll make sure to understand more of Falkreaths history before I leave the Hold and to take note on the importance of the battles that happened here.
The people in the Hold are pleasant enough to get along with, despite a few people who hold a stubborn attitude against Argonians. Nothing new there. I understand this is Nord land but this is my homeland too.
Ive decided to stay here in the Hold for a few weeks. The Blacksmith known as Lod tells me Whiterun isn’t too far from here. I want to be in prime shape before joining the Companions, so I’ll be staying here till my hunting, fighting & smithing skills increase. I want to craft stronger armor, stronger weapons to increase my chances to be accepted into the Companions. Working with Lod, he taught me to create leather armor. I can craft leather armor myself; I have the burnt scales and calluses to prove it.
Getting closer towards my goal and thank the Divines there is work to be done in Falkreath. Working as a sell sword pays more then living as a hunter and it doesn’t hurt to make more of a title for myself here as well.
Oh, and my hunting skills has finally started to improve, mama. Right now, Im able to track down deer easier and to make the quick decision to release the arrow when the time comes. The only problem it takes me awhile to track down the same deer, the Falkreath forest has a lot of coverage, making tracking harder. After a lot of patience and perseverance, I had my own feast to celebrate the first deer Ive hunted on my own.
